Llamau Youth homeless helpline volunteer

For thousands of the most vulnerable people in Wales, homelessness is a frightening reality. Our freephone helpline provides information and advocacy to young people across Wales who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Our aim is to ensure young people understand their rights and feel empowered to access the support they need when they need it. Undertaking the role from home you will: Respond to helpline calls. – Listen to young people in a non-judgemental and empathetic way.- Provide tailored information, sign post and refer to appropriate services and offer advocacy where needed.- Maintain confidentiality at all times whilst also considering safeguarding issues.- Record accurate information.- Participate in training and support and supervision sessions.
