This is a Welsh Government funded vacancy. To be eligible to apply You must be aged 16-19 , live in Wales, not currently in Employment, Education or Training . You must already have qualifications to study at Foundation Level (Essential Skills Wales in Application of number, Communication and Digital literacy at L1, or GCSE equivalents of grades D-G)

Production Operator

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Production Operative to join our team, in a well-established successful family business.

You will work on a production line as instructed by the Team Leader to ensure that all products are of a high standard and quality, before being delivered to the next stage of the process.

The role:

• Ensure products are produced effectively and efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
• Band packs right first time.
• Ensure correct and accurate labelling of finished products.
• Carry out basic service work: clear pointer, change blades, set cross cut etc.
• Responsible for housekeeping in your area of work.
• Report any damage or breakdowns.
• Assist colleagues as and when required by undertaking additional tasks within the business.
• Cooperate on quality, health and safety matters and suggest improvements as part of a team.
• You must be health and safety conscious, committed to following safe ways of working.

The ideal applicant will:

• Be resident in Wales
• Aged 16-19 at point of sign up to the Jobs Growth Wales Programme
• Be eligible to live and work in the UK
• Be work/apprenticeship ready (have all the minimum qualification requirements in place).

Working hours are 39.25 hours per week:

Monday to Friday 07:00 am to 3:30pm Monday to Thursday, 7.00 am to 2.30 pm Friday.
