At Coleg Cambria we offer a wide range of free fitness and sporting activities to students and staff to allow them to be active during their time working or studying at the college.

We understand the importance of keeping active especially after sitting down for most of the day during lessons and work.

Activities Coleg Cambria offers for free consist of:

Llysfasi

A gym room which can be used by colleagues all day, located by the Canteen. Students can use the room too, but must be supervised by colleagues and have an induction, before they can use the room. 

There is a cage area, where you can play multi sports and table tennis in the old block. Equipment can be signed out from the library.

Colleagues can take a break walking the circular route from the college. 

Northop

The front lawn can be used to play football and games during dinner and free periods. Table tennis is available in the common room.

Beautiful landscaped walks around the grounds.

Bersham Road

Students have a cage area to play multi sports.

Pool tables are located in the canteen.

The innovation centre can be used to hold classes after college or at dinner time. Fitness equipment can be found in the store cupboards.

The college also has corporate rates at Lifestyle fitness, Brio leisure, Pure gym and Freedom Leisure. More information can be found on our benefits hub.

Deeside

An Active room in G52 is available for colleagues and students to play table tennis, turbo training, hula hooping and complete recorded sessions by using the Television.

Deeside also has an indoor and outdoor athletics track which colleagues and students can book to use during college hours for free. Book through donna.welsh@web.cambria.ac.uk

The sportshall is available during dinner times and 4pm until 5pm for multisport sessions. Lifestyle Fitness has a gym within Coleg Cambria and has colleague rates of £17.99 a month and student rate of £18.99 a month.

The site is half a mile to walk around, which makes a good loop for colleagues to walk on their breaks or dinner times.

Yale 

A new Technogym within the new build is free for all colleagues and students at allocated times, please email donna.welsh@web.cambria.ac.uk for more information and to book your induction.

A spin studio and an Active Yoga/Pilates room is available to book out.
