Duke of Edinburgh
Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) at Coleg Cambria
At Coleg Cambria you can do your Bronze, Silver and Gold Duke of Edinburgh Awards alongside the course you are studying. If you haven’t heard of the DofE before, where have you been?!
The DofE is described as a life-changing experience and an opportunity to discover new interests and talents. It helps you to develop essential skills for both life and work and is a recognised mark of achievement respected by employers.
DofE programmes can be completed by 14-24 year olds and you can work your way through Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards. The award is not a competition to see who can come first. The award is about achieving personal challenges and pushing personal boundaries.
Activities included in DofE include Volunteering, Physical, Skills, Expedition and an additional activity of Residential for the Gold award.
If you would like more information or to sign up for the Duke of Edinburgh please contact DofE coordinator alan.lowry@web.cambria.ac.uk or gary.abnett@web.cambria.ac.uk
