Early success for Cambria in 2023

124 students took part in 35 skills competitions across Wales 17.1 – 03.2
The college is incredibly proud of each and every one of them for representing Coleg Cambria so professionally.
Results will be announced at a Celebration Event on Thursday 9th March at 7pm.

All 3 have been invited to WorldSkills Squad UK in the hope of representing the UK at WorldSkills International in Lyon Sept 2024
ILS Teambuilding Day
We held a team building day for our lovely ILS students, 15 student reps from the Northop campus came over to Deeside to take part in various learner experience activities.
Started off the day with some light hearted group games of SPLAT! Because everyone loves a good ol’ splat!
Learners took part in Active Cambria sessions led by Donna , getting involved in various activities in the indoor athletics centre. Dodgeball went down a treat.
Before lunch we took part in Judith’s arts and crafts for chinese new year choosing our birth animal and bringing to life through collage techniques, stickers and colours.
After a quick lunch we all got involved with Active Cambria’s Yoga and Gym sessions with Donna and Chrissie, stretching into allsorts of weird and wonderful positions if you would like to get involved send us an email at activecambria@cambria.ac.uk
We also took part in debates as part of the Student Voice led by Mark and Rob debating issues such as ‘Should Northop have a Mcdonalds on site’ and ‘Should homework be banned’. Our students worked in teams creating their arguments for and against these issues. Our students gained their confidence in this session and found their individual voices and by the end of the session were all presenting their points on the podium mic
