Glan-Llyn

On 10th Feb, a trip to Glan-Llyn was organised as a reward for being actively involved with the Enterprise Skills Challenge or general enterprise activity within the curricula, 13 learners from A Level, BTEC Business & L1 Health, Social & Childcare were treated to a fun and challenging problem solving day to test their entrepreneurial mindset focusing on communication, teamwork, innovation & took on personal challenges on the high ropes course. The activities were funded through Glan-Llyn’s Winter Wellbeing funding from Betsi Cadwaladr.

Culture Collective Event 2023

A fabulous afternoon at the very first Culture Collective event: a celebration of the vibrant, culturally diverse community within Wrexham and the surrounding areas, recognising the benefits of co-existence of cultures, where traditions and languages come together to create a community of diversity and acceptance.

The concept originated with last year’s Enterprise Challenge winners: Mia, James, Celyn, Ruby and Joe. They joined forces with our International Student Club leader, Michal, and created a wonderful event, sponsored by Wrexham Borough Youth Service grant

A HUGE thanks to Judith Alexander for supporting the students + creating the event; Matt + Barry and all of Ial Restaurant team for delivcious canapes + iced tea – and to our fantastic ESOL students and staff for sharing their stories and skills.

This was such a special opportunity – definitely one to repeat!
